Rouses Point Dodge Memorial Library
The Rouses Point Dodge Memorial Library (RPDML) is a public library which was granted its absolute charter from the University of the State of New York (New York State Education Department) on April 26, 1906. An amendment to the RPDML charter was granted on January 16, 1948. The Library was formally dedicated in January 1907. The administration of the RPDML consists of a five member board. One board member is appointed each year to a five year term by the Village’s Mayor and Board of Trustees. It is the responsibility of the Library Board to run the operation of the Library. The Village Treasurer is the chief fiscal officer of the RPDML. The RPDML Board along with Library Director and staff work to encourage and provide for the use of library services in order to meet the educational, informational and recreational needs of Rouses Point and surrounding communities.
