Where Lake Champlain greets the rest of the world
The Northern Gateway to Canada, Vermont and New York State.
The scenic Village of Rouses Point is located in the northeastern corner of New York State. With an international boundary on the north, and historic Lake Champlain, spanned by an impressive bridge, on the east, the Village provides a natural gateway to Canada, Vermont, and New England.
Once a passageway for warships and military cargo during the country's struggle to obtain and maintain its independence, the lake is now a playground for pleasure boats, fishing boats, and all types of watercraft, a mecca for tourists.
