Joint Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Champlain, Clinton County, State of New York, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at 7:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter maybe heard, at the Town Hall, 10729 NYS Route 9, Champlain, NY, to consider the adoption of an update to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Town Law §272-a.

The proposed Comprehensive Plan Update outlines long-term goals, objectives, and strategies for land use, infrastructure, housing, natural resources, economic development, and other planning considerations within the Town. The update reflects input from community members, stakeholders, and advisory committees, and is intended to guide future development and policy decisions.

A full copy of the draft Comprehensive Plan Update is available for public review at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours and on the Town’s Comprehensive Plan website at: https://sites.google.com/view/champlaintownvillagecompplan/home

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and will be given an opportunity to comment. Written comments may also be submitted by mail to the Town Clerk at PO Box 3144, Champlain NY, 12919or emailed to supervisor@townofchamplain.gov no later than the morning of December9, 2025.
